Tamil tiger terrorists (LTTE) have been using boys and girls as young as ten years old for a long time in its fight against the armed forces of Sri Lanka. This was confirmed in the 1996 ground breaking United Nations study by Graca Macel of Mozambqiue on the impact of armed conflicts on children.
Increasingly LTTE terrorist leaders are deliberately conscripting children as soldiers. Some commanders have noted the desirability of using child soldiers in war because they are more obedient, they are hurled into battle as human bombs, with cyanide capsules around their necks. This disturbing pattern has worsen in the recent months as the LTTE terrorists are taking a heavy toll in what their leaders calls ‘Final Battle - Do or Die’ to stop Sri Lanka clearing the land route from Vavniya to Killinochi.
The LTTE had conscripted thousands of teenagers and even 10-year olds to fight its war, while its leadership sent its own children to safety abroad.

It brazenly kidnaps them or lures them to its cause by glorifying and romanticizing war. They are brainwashed into believing in the cult of martyrdom. They swear fanatical allegiance to the leader.
This was confirmed on Tuesday 14 October 1997. Following a heavy battle for the control of Kanakarayankulam on the highway to Kilinochchi , troops found 47 scattered bodies. To their horror, 20 were of very young girls and 16 were of very young boys.
The LTTE terrorist leaders do not care about the welfare of children, Tamil or any other race. It is up to the civilized world to ban the LTTE and stop the funding that keeps these barbarians in employment. What ever the LTTE says about freedom fighters, martyrs and dying for the tamil cause, would your ten year old daughter know what is worth dying for and what is not?

COLOMBO, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Tamil Tiger rebels threw young girl and boy soldiers into attacks on the government's front-lines on Tuesday breaking a two-day lull in the Sri Lankan war, the defense ministry said. "Troops have so far recovered a total of 47 terrorist dead bodies, out of which 20 are of young girls and 16 are of very young boys," it said in a statement.
Five soldiers were also killed and 15 wounded as troops fought back three waves of counter-attacks during the latest fighting near Kanakarayankulam, about 235 km (145 miles) northeast of the capital Colombo, the statement said.
